Blogging once a year is good........ right?

Married life is great! Jared really does treat me like a princess – even if I’m a brat sometimes. We are both working right now and Jared will start Bridgerland in the Fall for their IT program. I’m working at a company that does medical billing, I still teach piano, I have 11 piano student with the chance of getting 2 more in the fall. We will see though.

We have a dog. His name is Howser. Jared gave him to me for our 1 month anniversary. Howser’s mom was dropped off pregnant by one of my friends house (out by my parents) and he was the runt of 2 pups. He is now around 75 lbs and is a pure breed mutt. We’ve been told he looks like anything from a St. Bernard, German Sheppard to a Australian Shepard and Heeler.

June 2009 about 8 weeksish

January 2011 at around 75 lbs – all I know is that his body is almost too long for his legs or his legs are almost too short for his body…… maybe he has some dachshund in him? What do you think?

But Howser really is a good dog :) I mean who could not love him? And yes we did train him to sit on a kitchen chair.

I guess I’m so used to being insanely busy that it feels like I have too much free time right now. On Thursdays I take Howser to Agility class (a big obstacle course). He loves it and it helps wear him out so he doesn’t destroy my kitchen or eat the neighbor cat.

We have an xbox 360 with Kinect. I rather enjoy it and I think that Jared is rather surprised how much I like to play it. And I'm rather surprised by his sweet dance moves with the Dance Central game :) I guess I don’t come across as the gamer type…. The Kinect is cool and that games are fun. We take it up to my parents house when everyone is there and the kids love it – my dad even gets into it. Oh and the Fable Game series from Black and White totally rocks! In the game you can kick chickens….now what other game gives you that kind of opportunity?

I’ve been trying to decide weather or not Logan will ever stay in spring mode or just be in winter mode with a few spring weather glitches. I’m starting a garden by my house but the most that I’ve been able to do with it is to just turn the dirt over while Howser helps dig holes (for what I’m not sure). Needless to say that I am starting to itchy to get into the dirt to play in it and grow things.

Hopefully this gives an update of what is going on in my life – I truly am a boring person all be it an insane person that has to stay busy, but a boring person none the less.

Wait, I thought is was spring.... winter.... no spring.....

Well what a surprise this morning ( well not really since the weather man said it would happen). I decided to have a little garden at our house this year, as there are plenty of planters avaliable to use. So I planted my tomatoes and peppers, onions and herbs and even some strawberries, just imaging how good everything will be good after it all fruits and ripens. However I believe either mother nature is trying to help or just doesn't like the idea.

Just ignore the time stamp. Obviously I haven't tried to change the date.

So in (hopefully not) a vain attempt to save my garden I've covered it. We will see. Oh the joy of living in Logan in the spring.

So the next question of the morning is about the lawn. If the snow wont kill my vegetable garden will it kill grass seed? Over the winter the accumulation of Howser going potty on our front lawn ruffly in the same 3 by 4 feet of area has taken it's toll. We are trying to reseed the area but we only put seed down last Saturday. Maybe the snow will act as a slow release moisture with out causing the seed to go dormant? Maybe?

Well we will just have to see what happens.

I think that I truly have one of the sweetest husbands in the world. But I am biased. The other evening I was in a bad mood and didn't feel good. Life just stunk at the moment. So Jared being the sweet husband that he is left me a surprise on our kitchen table before he left for work. See:

I really am lucky :)

The mix of branches with the daffodil is the flowering ornamental Cherry that grows in our front yard and some of the blooming plum branches that were pruned off the tree. It really brightened up my day.

What to do when your husband turns 26 and you want to have a suprise party

Well. It is the end of Spring Break and the funnest thing I've done so far is not go to class and take Howers to the Dog park. Howser loves the dog park even more than I do. I love it for the pure fact that I can unleash Howser and let him run, wrestle and find something dirty (and sometimes :( smelly ) to roll in. Howser loves it because it is bigger than our 16 by 16 foot kitchen and he gets to be outside unleashed with others to wrestle with. There is usually a good assortment of dogs that come. Every size between 6 month old Great Dane pups to a Mini Poodle (yes the little ones come but not necessarily of their own free will and stay on top of the picnic tables - hungry anyone?) If Howser can find someone to wrestle and play keep away with his day is made.

Wednesday was our last day of Obedience class for Beginners. Howser pass with flying colors with a "needs help" in the "leave it" area. As a reward I bought his a pair of squeaker Hedge hogs - really I would have bought only one but it came in a 2 pack and it was graduation......... The trainer had made the comment through out the last 8 weeks that he is amazed at how mellow and quiet Howser is. Every time he said that, the many times of Howser "talking" back to me and letting me know that he doesn't agree fly through my head. For prime example, I was eating leftovers of Indian Oven Chicken Coconut Kurma and Howser nuzzled his head into my lap with a look in his eyes of "I'll take one for the team and finish it for you :)". I pushed his head out of my lap and told him that he wasn't getting any. He took a few steps back and boy did he let me know that he did not agree with that statement. Barroowooh, Barrowooowoowooh, Barroow, Baroowooh, ending with a Barroowooh through a closed mouth resulting in his lips puffing out. We don't have kids and I have to deal with being talked back to. Oh well, guess it gives me practice for whenever we decide to have kids. I have to admit that our life is rather great. We truly are blessed.

TOP SECRET IF YOU ARE JARED YOU CANT READ BELOW THE LINE
well actually you can read this after Sunday.

Sunday is Jared's birthday - the big 26. He made the comment tonight that when people ask how old he is, he has to stop and figure it out. He has such a baby face that even when he is 95 people will probably think that he is in his late 70's. For his birthday I wanted to do something big and fun. So on Saturday I've planned a surprised b-day party. We are having a murder mystery dinner party and having 3 other couples (close friends that are local - sorry shelley) come to celebrate. Jared doesn't know about the dinner party. I've told him that I want to make him big all out dinner for his birthday on Saturday and have somewhatly planned the dinner menu with him. The original plan was for me to send him to the grocery store to get some Ranch salad dressing. But life doesn't go that way when I plan it. For example: We went grocery shopping last night to get the last minute things needed for the meal Saturday and general grocery needs. And guess what the one thing that Jared insisted and made sure that we bought? Ranch Salad dressing. Oh well, I ended up buying Taco seasoning by honest mistake that will kill me, so I guess I have a back up plan. Anyway the plan now is to send Jared to the grocery store to exchange the Taco seasoning for something that wont kill me and get back in time for dinner. While Jared is out all of our guest will arrive and thus the surprise :) I hope it goes well.

I got Jared a birthday gift of Kill Dr Lucky. I bought it online and had it shipped to my work. I told Jared about it and the 1st question out of his mouth was "which account did the money come out of?" He asked this as to figure out where I got the gift and what it was. I don't lie intentionally on a regular basis but I will admit I openly and blatantly lied to my husband. I smiled and told him that I paid one of the girls at work to buy it through their bank and paid them back. The money came out of the Piano Checking account but I couldn't tell him that and spoil the surprise now could I? I will have to update and put pictures of how things went.

Jared has started to work his new permanent shift of midnight to 8 am. Yuck! Well sort of yuck. He was working 4pm to 11pm before. Really Yuck! I miss sleeping at the same time with my husband and having him hold me while I fall asleep but in all reality I do get to see him more. Call me a hopeless romantic but I love it when my husband holds me and we cuddle :)

I just lied again....... I promise this isn't becoming a habit! Jared just asked me while writing this what I was doing and (don't think me horrible) told him that I was writing an e-mail to my amazing, and I mean AMAZING, friend Shelley Gee. Thanks for being my cover Shelley! I told him that Shelley had e-mailed me and wanted an update of what is going on in our lives. Technically it wasn't a complete lie as I know that Shelley will be reading this and it is an update I just fudged about how the information is getting to her :)
Well, I will have to continue this after the party as we are at a friends house playing games and the game Jared and our friend Wayne is playing is almost over.

Well what a surprise life is............
I thought that I was done with my bachelors degree but I've been informed that I need to retake a couple of classes to get a high enough grade in them to count. Some days it really feels like I will never get out of college.
All in all things are going good. Jared and I got married on June 19th this year. We really missed those of you that couldn't make it. I has olmost been two months and we are still loving being married. Some days we have stress but we help each other to lighten up and we are good again. We like our apartment - although I found a Hobo spider in my tupper ware - that wasn't a fun surprise!
We have had an addition to our little family. We went out my parents house for the Howell Town Celebration on July 18th. While we were out there a kid I went to school with told us that they have puppies that they are trying to find homes for. The mother dog was dropped off and had a litter of just two. Jared works nights and I get nervous being alone at night so we got a puppy. We've named him Howser. I've been told that he looks anything like a St. Bernard to a Red Heeler and that he'll be about an 80 lb dog. We will just have to see how big he will really get. I bought him a crate today. Right now it is about 3 x's to big but I have a feeling that he will fill it up oh too soon. We have discovered this week that he loves carrots and apples but really doesn't like celery. The lady at Petsmart told me that some people train with carrots so we will see if that works and not have to by dog treats from petsmart.
All in all things are great - I really love being married and couldn't find a better husband or friend. Jared and I have some stress with each other but it all works out and we love each other all the better for it.

Halleuah and hipp hurrah! I finally made it. I graduated on Saturday with my bachelor's degree! Oh, but now the real world sets in and I need to find a job. :( Everything is going good but finding the elusive job is a bit frustrating. I applied at 3 places to day with potential interviews within the next 2 days so that is good news.
Wedding plans are coming. I printed off examples of everthing to show Jared's parents and they are still sitting on my desk. I guess they won't be previewed today after all - oh well. I've tried twice to set up the wedding breakfast and lefts messages but no calls back - at this rate I need to find another place to have the luncheon.
Last friday Jared and I went to see the new Wolverine movie with some friends. I really liked the movie but Jared thought that Wolverine's claws were too detailed, but he still liked it too. I'm sure that there is something to be said about your life, when it can be sumed up in three paragraphs - I think I need to add more excitement into it. Hmmm..........................

Some Days.................

Some days..... Is it a problem when technology is smarter that the person using it? I went to update this blog and for the life of me couldn't remember which e-mail I used to log in and create it. So I tried everything and every combination of passwords and e-mails that I could think of and two weeks later I now am finally able to get into my blog and update it. Hopefully this isn't a sign of something. Oh well, life is life and as crazy as can be.

Wedding plans are coming along beautifully. Did you know that there are about 80 marbles in a pound? Oh the things we learn to finish center pieces. I'm still trying to get in contact with the elusive seamstress to fix my dress, but I wont give up!

Piano is going good. We are all getting ready for the recital the end of May so there still time but I still get nervous about if all my girls and boy will be prepared by then (They always are but I still worry).

School is as insane as ever. I have a rough draft of a paper due on the 16th, a presentation in my French Conversation class (which i just barely started/finished creating the presentation now the practice starts). The presentation is a powerpoint presentation but I still don't like presenting in front of a crowd let alone not in my native language.

When I woke up this morning it was snowing and hasn't stopped. There was about 4 - 6 inches predicted but I really think we'll get a foot. What a way to celebrate a spring break! But atleast I get to sleep in this week and read a book that isn't my text book - that probably for me is the biggest highlight.

Well back to Spring Break and my book hehe.....

So is this how it all starts?

I guess I've finally done it. I'm now a blogger. I figure this will be an easier way of keeping everyone up to date with the big plans and everything else. Jared and I are getting married June 19th and we are both counting down the days. I'm finally going to graduate come the 1st or 2nd of May............. I still trying to figure out which I really graduate on. I'm so ready to graduate and it feels so good to be so close! But something scary is waiting to pounce after graduation....... I've to be a real responsible adult and not just a continuing student. We will see how that works...... I've been toying with the idea of going back to get my master's but we will see what happens after I take all the needed tests.
